Suiseki are viewing stones that are appreciated by their decorative value, and are naturally found in rivers, oceans, or lakes. Popular types of suiseki suggest a mountain, a waterfall, an island, a thatched hut or an animal.

This landscape stone was collected by Sakurai Toshio from Narai, Japan, one of the 69 post towns along the Nakasenda River, during the Edo Period. It was in his personal collection until now. It has a single bottom cut and has been shaped on part of the back of the stone. Includes a custom, hand-carved wooden daiza stand. Stone pictured is the actual stone that will ship.
