Suiseki are viewing stones that are appreciated by their decorative value, and are naturally found in rivers, oceans, or lakes. Popular types of suiseki suggest a mountain, a waterfall, an island, a thatched hut or an animal.

This Saru River stone is described as a "distance" mountain stone. A distance mountain should have soft, flowing lines without the detailed features of a nearby mountain. This can also be considered as an island stone. It has a single bottom cut. Includes a custom, hand-carved wooden daiza stand. Stone pictured is the actual stone that will ship.
