Suiseki Stones are slowly gaining popularity in the United States. Notable exhibition locations include the National Arboretum as well as the Golden State Bonsai Federation annual show in California. Suiseki stones are also often paired with bonsai exhibitions, you can find Suiseki stones at nearly every bonsai show. What is Featured at a Show?
Typically, Suiseki Stones shows exhibit collector pieces from around the world and feature the most unique specimens. Each specimen is chosen for its material, shape, and qualities.
Each collector stone is almost always displaced with a custom "Daiza" or handmade wooden stand. The "Daiza" is carved to the exact shape of the stone and created to display the stone's most distinguished features.
