Money Tree Plant Care Information

The success of your Money Tree depends on a variety of factors, most notably watering and light. Below are some guidelines to follow that will help ensure that your Money Tree will stay healthy and happy.

Pruning Tips:
The Money Tree can be pruned by cutting off the stems; new growth will appear at the cut over time.

Fertilizing:
We recommend fertilizing your money tree with a liquid fertilizer.

Lighting:
The Pachira Aquatica (Money Tree) is a very hardy plant that can withstand low light conditions and infrequent watering. Avoid direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as this will cause the leaves to burn and turn slightly yellow.

Temperature Requirements:
The Money Tree prefers warm temperate climates above 60 degrees Fahrenheit. If exposed to colder weather, the tree may start to lose leaves.

Watering Requirements:
We recommend watering the money tree whenever the soil looks dry. Depending on the conditions, this may be once a week or once a month. However, the plant can still do well without much water at all.

Repotting:
The Money Tree has very little root structure and doe not require frequent repotting.

Outdoor:
The Money Trees can be placed in both indoor and outdoor environments. During the winter, we recommend bringing the tree indoors to protect against frost damage.
