The Southern Breeze Tree and Stone Society recently welcomed Los Angeles-based bonsai artist Philippe Baron for an engaging bonsai demonstration!
With over 20 years of experience, Philippe has spent the past nine years training alongside renowned bonsai artist Mauro Stemberger, working on private bonsai collections and traveling to Italy to further refine his skills.
During the event, Philippe demonstrated wiring techniques used to shape and style a juniper bonsai, sharing how proper branch placement helps create structure, balance, and volume.
It was a great opportunity for members to gain valuable insight, explore new techniques, and appreciate the artistry behind bonsai styling!
